Travel & Documentation
No. For team unity and logistical reasons, participants are not permitted to book flights with miles or points. These tickets often do not align with the group itinerary and complicate team travel arrangements.
Yes. A valid passport is required for all international travel regardless of age. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date. If you are a citizen of another country, please contact GMT staff for assistance.
GMT will determine whether a visa is required based on your destination and citizenship. If needed, instructions will be provided for how to apply for your visa. Visa costs are included in your trip price. Note: Visa fees are non-refundable once submitted. Participants are responsible for any additional fees caused by application errors.
Insurance, Immunizations, Emergencies
Yes. All participants are covered under a comprehensive travel policy including:

If immunizations are recommended for your destination, GMT will notify you. Please consult your doctor before receiving any vaccines. Immunization costs are not included in the trip cost unless specifically noted (e.g., anti-malarial medication provided by GMT).
Call the number on your GMT insurance card for support. They will advise if the local facility is sufficient and arrange evacuation if necessary. Calling is optional, but it can help expedite and coordinate care.
The insurance policy provides up to $10,000 (US) in upfront emergency coverage. You must still file a claim with your primary U.S. insurance when you return and reimburse the insurer upon refund.
The GMT-provided coverage will act as your primary insurance up to its full limit (e.g., $25,000, $50,000, etc.). You are still responsible for submitting documentation for reimbursement.
